In the summer of 1940 a small group of young men and their aircraft were all that stood between the British people and invasion by the Nazi war machine. The Battle of Britain was short, brutal and one of the pivotal events of the Second World War.

In the summer of 1968 some of those young men were reunited with their planes to help film the classic British feature film - "The Battle of Britain".

Using hitherto unseen footage from the 1968 production, The History Channel tells the true story of The Battle of Britain and exposes the myths that surround this momentous clash of arms and its place as a defining moment in our history.
