Reynolds has brought together a collection of incisive essays, five of them previously unpublished, and explores some of the major themes, events, and personalities of this pivotal decade.

Author, David Reynolds, is Professor of International History at the University of Cambridge. David's last book, ‘In Command of History’, won the Wolfson History Prize in 2004.
