DEEP SEA DETECTIVES: Secret Underwater Caves

Within the island of Cozumel in Mexico, there winds a six-mile underwater cave system named Cueva Quebrada.

Almost a mile from any entrance there is a significant cache of Mayan artifacts, a burial mound, found in 1991 by cave explorers Jeff Bozanic and Steve Ormeroid.

The cave passage is so deep and long that Jeff and Steve have to carry at least eight tanks of air on a four hour swim to the site.

Since their first discovery 10 years ago, no one has been back to the site, leaving the details of this rich archeological treasure unknown.

To unravel this mystery the Deep Sea Detectives team will swim into the cave system wearing the latest dive technology.
